Geotextiles & DOT Specifications

JAN 2020

North Dakota DOT has developed its own standard geotextile specifications. They do not follow AASHTO M288 for geotextiles. They require the outdated ASTM D-4833 Puncture test. This has been replaced with ASTM D-6241 CBR Puncture.

The North Dakota Department of Transportation does not maintain an Approved Products List for construction related materials. The contractor must provide products that meet the specified requirements listed in North Dakota Standard Specification for Road and Bridge Construction. The contractor will be required to certify the products meet the specifications and the department will randomly test products to assure the specifications are met.

Below are US Fabric's geotextile products that meet the North Dakota DOT geotextile specification, listed by their application.
