Transnet Geocomposites

Transnet

US Fabrics’ geocomposites are created by bonding a environmental grade 6 or 8 oz/sy nonwoven geotextile to one or both sides of one of our Transnet geonets. The geotextile functions as a filter fabric and retains soil or sand particles, even concrete or grout, while still allowing water to pass into the geonet. Their biaxial design also provides high flow characteristics in both machine and cross directions. The geonet is nearly crush-proof and provides the high compressive strength required of demanding environmental applications.

The most common application for a geocomposite is landfill leachate collection. Geocomposites function very well on steepened slopes and are less expensive and more durable than common sand and gravel systems. They also handle heavy loads and/or heavy vehicular traffic, both horizontally and vertically.
